Mukhtar Kabuka managed this challenging noise-abatement-modification project for a private school. This school is located near the O’Hare Airport, which made it quite challenging to isolate the airport noise from the school. This is new additions and renovations project. The scope of work included administration renovation, classrooms renovations, gymnasium modification, cafeteria modification, mechanical, plumbing, ventilation, and electrical renovations. The work included reroofing the entire school, the replacement of existing windows, replacement of several doors, the replacement of the existing heating and cooling systems, the installation of new lighting and ceiling systems, the installation of new cabinetry and the installation of new vestibule and construction of a new masonry enclosure for the new air cooled condensing unit.
